Sydnie Battie

Is like a warm cup of Earl Grey tea with two ounces of whiskey and a tablespoon of honey. And a cinnamon stick. Maybe some lemon.

We know—that’s pretty specific. But Sydnie does an uncanny British accent and her punchy vocals warm you up just like a boozy mug of Twinings.

Sydnie comes to Denver by way of Florida and has ramped up her budding music career with the release of three singles over the course of the never-ending saga that is 2020. Despite a year that has cramped the style of nearly every musical artist—Sydnie notes a schedule packed with performances and recordings prior to the pandemic—she’s managed to find a rhythm and write songs that are true to herself.

Sydnie performed her three latest singles, “Company,” “Needy,” and “Juice,” in some vast and beautiful patches of dirt east of Denver. The groove was provided by her talented bandmates, Christian (keys), KG (drums), Josue (sax), and Isaiah (bass).
