We make music videos.

Mateo (top) and Kyle (bottom) started making movies together in 2017 after they quit their day jobs and bought one-way tickets to Mexico. But, really, the gig started much earlier. The two are childhood friends from San Francisco and were dreaming up creative ways to drink beer without getting caught long before dreaming up shoot locations for music videos. In Mexico, Kyle and Mateo worked under the name Poco a Poco and spent their time covering rural, migrant, and indigenous communities across Latin America. They borrow from that documentary style to make UNWRAPT videos.

Mateo Schimpf (Top) // Audio + Producer

Mateo handles audio production duties in the field and in post. He’s also a radio and podcast producer.

Kyle Hilken (Bottom) // Video + DP

Kyle is the UNWRAPT videographer, editor, and director of photography. If there’s a drone shot, he’s probably flying that, too.
